Has anyone attempted to use one of the kits that will darken your chrome bumpers, grill or wheels. I am not a fan of chrome, but spending the money on my suburban to get new paintable bumpers and a grill just doesn't seem worth the money. I have never seen anyone post using one of these kits you can buy at Autozone or Oreillys. Wondering how well it adhered, especially since the grill isn't chromed just the cheap coating from the factory. Did it last and start to chip from bugs/rocks?

I've used it on small parts with mixed results. Sometimes it doesn't look so good. Ambient temperature and humidity has a huge effect on this stuff.
