Well I have some big 40" Tires on my old 77 Burban K20
I guess my u-joints in the axle were a little more worn out than I had thought.
anyways I had the front axle break around the u-joint... seems the axle is still atatched to the ujoint but the outside of the u-joint has snapped off from the housing..
I'll go snap a picture and post it on here in a min.
I need to know what I need to fix this... I have not done anything with axles before... exept doing the wheel bearings... Please help!

I think those 40" tires are to much for that Dana 44, unless your have really built it with some aftermarket heavyduty parts.

Well its a 3/4 tonne axle.. It should be fine with the tires... just I think the ujoints have not been replaced for a long time... and I've run this truck through lots of mud and water.. I think that was a contributing factor..
