Gasoline prices, after calming down for a couple of weeks, are setting records again in California. But those predictions of $4 gas are being set aside.

The statewide average hit a record $3.65 a gallon Wednesday for self-serve regular, up a penny from the day before, according to AAA. Sacramento's average rose a fraction of a penny to $3.65, also a record.
The priciest gas among the 25 California markets surveyed daily by AAA was in San Francisco and San Luis Obispo: $3.78.

Here in central Missouri it jumped .20 cents today. Went from $3.09 to $3.29 and diesel jumped a dime, now $3.85.
