No, the tire only comes down about 2 inches. The cable comes down but not the tire.
Can't get my spare tire down in my 2006 GMC 2500
Hi guys,
I cannot get my spare tire down. When I crank it to come down, the braided steel cable with the spring will come down, but the cross piece that actually holds the rim of the spare tire only comes down an inch or two then stops. It doesn't give me enough room to play the tire and get it off of the cross piece. In other words I cannot get my spare tire down. Any ideas as to how I can fix this?
