Can anyone tell me whether the window motor on the drivers
side (front left) can be changed by going in through the
door speaker mounting hole? Or must that inner metal panel
be removed to affect the change. I am trying to be as
minimally invasive as possible.

Thanks

Oh, wouldn't that be sweet!:great:

Sadly, I'm pretty sure you need to pull the panel. Maybe someone can correct me on this if I'm wrong.

Changing window motors on 1999 Tahoe

Trailleadr

I am afraid you are correct and I will have to pull the
inner door panel to change the motor. I see there are rivets
to drill out also. Hard to do through an 8 inch hole in the
panel.

And then there is the issue of whether you can replace just
motor, or have to change the regulator also. Went to
Border's book store and looked in the Chiltons. Not much
information contained therein.
