What is the Cheapest way to get about a 3 inch lift on my 99 silverado z71

what actually does a leveling kit do? does it lift the truck any or what? im not very good on the lifting the truck

a leveling kit raises the front end 2-2.5 inches to level it with the rear

that may be want i wanna do cuz the looks of your truck is about as high as i want it, because i can get a bit bigger tire, i don't know what ill do yet
