I have a 04 1 ton 2wd silverado with the duramax and a allison trans and ocaisionaly the "check brake system " light on the dash comes on but when I scan it there are no trouble codes stored and if I shut off the key and restart it the display will go away usally for several days but other times it comes back latter the same day . Any Ideas ???????:grrrrrr:

It might be a period of low vacuum that causes it to kick on. My 2003 once popped up "check brake booster". I hope this helps.

Unfortunatly the diesels have the power steering powered brake boosters on them !!!!
