Hi everyone, I recently had my 2004 Chevy Avalanche's check engine light checked at autozone, and it came with "evap system - small leak". Now, because I got an aftermarket warrantee (If you want to call it that), i immediately opted to have the dealer look at it, and he said that it was the fuel cap. He cleaned the seal, around the rim of the fuel neck, made sure the cap was on tight, and reset the code. It was fine for a long while, until a few weeks ago. This time, however, i had a passenger that claimed his 2004 trailblazer had the same problems, and that they had come from a break at the fuel neck, due mainly to the fact that it wasnt a metal neck, but instead a composite material. Do I, can I have the same problem? Is my fuel cap just not doing it anymore? please help!

Did you ever get an answer on this? I have a similar issue with my 04 Silverado. The Engine light keeps popping on and I get "tighten fuel cap" on the DIC.
