Another new guy here, I picked up a 93 2500 Suburban, 454, 4x4 in great shape. I've been reading up on ideas and thoughts on getting it ready to tow my 28' enclosed race trailer. It's a tick under 10K loaded and I just sold my Duramax so I've got a big learning curve.

LOL! Thanks!

I'm more concerned with the 14 yr old suspension Vs the 06 I was towing with. ;)

It has newer sensatrac's and helper springs but the rear still drops too much with the trailer hooked up. I need to see how much my WD bars will help level it out.
Ya Sorry Dave just bein' goofy. Yes the torsion bars are going to make a world of difference. It takes the sag out and makes the truck trailer feel like one. Plus its way safer at Highway speeds.
If you can't laugh and joke around life wouldn't be any fun. :great:

I'm glad I found this board.
Well stick around. As you can see from my Avatar I'm a mildly retarded Moderator!
Dave, first off welcome to the board. Second, Cableguy will most likely have you rolling in laughter in no time at all! Enjoy your stay and come back frequently.

I won't even ask why you ditched the Duramax but I'm sure that meaty 454 you have now will be no slouch for pulling with. When we used to pull our 24' Toy Hauler with my wife's Suburban w/5.3 V8, it was WFO quite often so I'm sure you won't be dissapointed with the big block:great:
dwill, he already has, I've been reading the board for a week now.

I loved my truck, 06 CC D/A, but couldn't justify the $800 a month payment just to take a trailer to the track once a month. I do miss the 18 to 20 hwy mpg though.

I had a 87 2500 Burban in the past and they can tow just about anything. If I find a problem I'll just throw in a 4.375 crank for more torque.

Boy, I can relate to the payment thing and had to do a bunch of finance juggling to be able to afford mine as well as wait a year and shop until the time was right and my credit was stong enough to pull it off. I enjoy my 06 and it gets better mileage than the Toyota Tacoma I traded in on her.

Welcome again to the club my friend:great:

Thats what I like to hear. The body panels might be around a little longer too.

I'm trying to sell the TB so I can build a little toy. To much money tied up, so I here ya brother.
