The block it self in the 93 is mostly the same as the 99. The heads a are completely different though. The 99 heads will bolt on the 93 block, and that would be the way to go, if they are good. If not, you may be able to have them reworked. The 99 intake will not bolt up to the 93 heads. The 99 is a different bolt pattern. The 99 also has a crank shaft sensor and the 93 doesn't. You may be able to remove that from the 99 and install it on the 93 engine, but I'm not sure. Also an other option sense you have both complete trucks, may be to pull all the parts to do a swop to TBI in the 99, just a thought. I have never done this swop, but I had a 93 and now have a 97 so I understand the difference in the two. I have heard of people doing a carb swop on the TBI system, and I am sure that it can also be done on the Vortec, but it would be much more involved. There is more controlled by the ECM in the 99 than in the 93. I hope this helps some, and welcome to the forum.

The trigger for the crank sensor is on the 99 crank though, and this will need to be installed on the 93 crank, along with the 99 bolt on sensor. I am not sure if this a precise hole in the crank that triggers the sensor as it goes by, or if it is a wheel that can be installed from one crank to another. I would think it is a wheel, but I am not sure. You would have to pull the bottom pulley and harmonic balancer to access the trigger on the crank. You will also need the timing chain cover off of the 99 I think. I know the 99 is a plastic cover and the 93 maybe metal, but will interfere with the crank sensor in one way or another.
