Hey, 3 years and still going. Not bad. In 2007 I was driving something by another brand that I didn't like.

I like chat threads. They keep pointless threads down like the one I probably would have started to ask the following question.

What do the orange and green bars under your user name mean? How can I fill mine up?

eJohnson, I really like your truck! You've done many of the things that I would like to do to mine eventually. I'm waiting another 20k miles or so 'till I hit 200k to rebuild my motor. Haven't decided if I'm going to bore over the cylinders or not. That depends on their condition when I open it up. I definitely plan on a cam and a few other bolt ons when I do the job.

Oh, I love your Impala too! It's such a sleeper. A coworker of mine has a 1980 Malibu that's absolutely beautiful. Maybe I'll post a pic one day with his permission.

Anyone care to demystify the points system?

So when is the bar open EJ? On second thought I don't think I'll be over. Your house looks a little dangerous

my 1990 gmc acts up when I turn the headlights and or ac/heater details below! HELP!

I need some help or answers! If any one has had this problem:
My 1990 gmc suburan 350 5.7ltr 4x4, has an issue during the day it runs fine with no problem with no ac or heat on!
The minute i turn the headlights on at low rpm it seems like it wants to die and i give it a little more gas and it golts and is fine!
This has blown the ign/dash fuse 20amps a couple of times!
When im on the highway no problem what so ever!
I have put a new starter a new Battery, and a new alltinator! All seem to test fine at autozone!
One thing when I installed the alternator i did not unhook the battery and it starked very fast when I went to put it on then I pulled it off very fast and unhooked the battery!
I have had everything tested again and agian and it alwayls comes back fine!
I did talk to an auto guy and he said you might have to ground the motor to the frame? I have not done this yet! Might this be the problem?
Any help would be awesome!
Thanks T

This is spose to be a fun site thread. Yours is too hard to be fun. Anyhow, all that notwithstanding, why haven't you run a ground strap between the engine and the frame? The GM factory did, and if there isn't one, there should be.
