Recently my suburban has start losing the coolant and overheating. If I drive 30+miles one way, I notice that the "check gages" light comes on and the engine temperature readout on the dash is showing 245-255 degrees Farenheit.

I have verified that the thermostat on the engine is working properly, including the gasket. Have painted the thermostat housing to prevent rust/corrosion buildup.

Upon filling the radiator with a 50/50 mix of distilled water and antifreeze, noticing that on the driver's side of the radiator, there is a leak big enough that the coolant will fill a pub glass in 15 minutess. It is no the hoses on the radiator for the source of the leak. Nice tidbit of information relating to this leak is that the leak is 7 inches from the top of the radiator.

With the radiator shroud (top of the engine) and the skid plate (bottom of the engine) in place, I can not properly identify the location of the leak.

Any Ideas?
