I currently have a Ford E350 with the 5.4L gas motor. I need to go to a diesel for a better GCWR/tow rating. It seems like my options are the 6.0L Fords or the 6.6L GM products. I have done a few nationwide searches for the Chevy's and GMC's and am coming up empty handed. Do people not sell these things, or were there just not very many to begin with? Obviously looking for a diesel truck would be way easier, but we have 5 kids, so that's not a practical option. Our current camper is about 7000#s, but we'll be upgrading to around a 9000# trailer in the next few years. Big SUVs don't have the payload capacity I need, so that's why I'm looking at diesel vans.

Howdy and welcome. Diesel vans are just not that common.

That's unfortunate. I've been seeing a decent number of Fords, but the longer wheelbase of the extended GMs was a plus for them. Thanks for the response.
