I would like to know the correct name of the Bracket that the two front Shock Absorbers bolt to on the Front Axel of my Suburban.

LMC Truck dosn't seem to have them.I hope they are to be found. My other one has cracked.

Many thanks

Mike Hill

In the aftermarket/custom word, people call them "shock tabs", but that's more of a complete shock bracket of sorts. Unless you cut one off another axle in the junkyard, you're probably not going to be able to find an OEM replacement anywhere. Luckily a pair of generic shock tabs will fix your issue up just fine.

Mike, you may be better off if you just have the crack welded in your original bracket.

I hear what your saying but the Bracket is pretty Rusty.By the time I grind off the rust, fab up some plate and weld it in place I could probably have cut off the old one and welded on a new.The other one is not looking pretty so I guess I'll order two and replace both.

Ok I got ya. You're right, there's no repair for rust. I thought it was just cracked.

Or if you have the skills to weld on tabs just cut out 4 tabs from a piece of metal and make your own. I bet summit will also have them.
