I have done some research I know both have 3 inch mufflers, why I 'm asking this is because my truck is an ext cab long bed 1500 and they don't make many exhaust for them but in 2500 they do. can some one tell me if this would work or does any one know an exhaust that will fit on my truck.

Thanks runnerboy23

Sorry, never tried that mod myself or anyone else I know has tried it. I'm sure if it worked than the aftermarket guys would advertise both.

Why are you trying to put a 2500 exhaust on a 1500, there won't be any performance gain.

Hey Runnerboy23 man you can go to a muffler shop around your area and they will run custom exhaust to fit your truck perfectly that's what i did and for a very well good price also. What kind of muffler are you trying to install? I ordered my Flowmaster super 40 series true dual from www.autoanything.com and i love the site cheap and free fast shipping. I was saying this because i muffler shop would charge more for the muffler and you could save some cash by doing this then take it to get the custom exhaust ran and they will install the muffler and tips for you just my 0.02 cents.

Yeah I have though about doing that I have a friend that is a welder but I want to buy a hole exhaust system, I think it sounds way better. Oh and I want it to be in the same spot as OEM exhaust.

The custom exhaust is basically the same thing man they will run it exactly how you want it done either dual pipe ran or single basically any choice you want along with what size pipe you wanna run along with tips or no tips. If you do this you will save money and your truck will perform just the same to be completly honest lol you might just get a sticker that say's gibson or something ha. I would do this since they don't make one's for your truck and do research about what size pipe you wanna run and either dual or single exhaust. If you want too get online and buy tip's from gibson, corsa, magnaflow or whom ever along with a muffler if you want one and save money from not buying at a local shop and can find allot more stuff you want online compared to exhaust shop. I bought my Flowmaster super 40 series dual in/dual out offline and save about $25 bucks and along with 3 1/2 by 18 inch Painted gloss black rolled edge tips and you can't get these at a shop. I also have a magnaflow x pipe will be here tom. i bought offline and will even out the exhaust flow and give me a lil bit more HP and Torque and paid $80 bucks for it and to help it i bought a K&N air filter. Basically what i'm sayin this is your last option and you can get whatver size pipe you want ran that you want from offline that want fit and just buy whatever else separate so it will be a perfect fit!

yeah I guess I could do that ^ I'm on an Acura forum for my TL and when changing the muffler is talked about its looked down upon as "make shift way of doing it" but I guess it's different in the chevy gas truck world. could I ever go back to stock?

Yeah you could go back stock if you really wanted to man. When you take your truck to the shop tell them you want to save your stock muffler and exhaust and they would hold onto it for you until your new exhaust is ran and then you can take the stock muffler and pipe back home or wherever else. Well a Acura is a luxury car and a good exhaust is needed for it and a exspensive one to make it sound good and not put cheap parts on a nice car. Don't get me wrong there is nothin wrong with custom exhaust from muffler shop's depending on how well the shop is and how good of work they do and how well priced also. The car you could also get done at a muffler shop just like i said take it somewhere where they do a good job installing custom or name brand either way that will help too. The car like i said about the truck just order what exhaust muffler you want like Corsa they have good system's but they system would cost around 1,100 or maybe more. The muffler you can get for about $350 and take car up to the shop and install what size piping the corsa had and you will save around $400-$500 and the sound difference wouldn't be any difference what so ever but your just buying a exhaust sytem that's made by a name brand that's name stands for something ha. I hope this helps you out also just buy some corsa tip's to go along with it and as long as your pipe ran is same size as the name brand one and you got there muffler and tips it's gonna sound exactly the same except you save $400 or more!!

Hey Runnerboy23, I've checked with all my contacts and looked myself for a kit for your truck and we can't find any company that makes a kit for your truck. I would find a muffler that you like the sound and go with just a muffler replacement and a nice tip. Sorry.

I vote for 44's! I've had custom exhaust on all my trucks and wouldn't have it any other way! In my opinion the 44's aren't loud enough but then again nothing is loud enough
