I used string on the bow tie and dental floss on the letters.

:great: I like trucks with a clean tailgate. I removed all the badges on my truck, and removed the "Chevrolet" letters on the tailgate. I like how you cleaned up yours, and the "Rad" is cool on the back.

I think it's gold because it makes it stand out with the black. Your options are to keep it gold, buy an aluminum replacement, or take it off and paint it any color. My dad took his off (two bolts found on inside of grill) and painted it white to match the truck. I kept mine gold, but installed the chrome billet grill :glasses:

not very hard, the string is used to saw through the tape and then I used my fingers to peel off the tape that is still on the panel. When I am done I wax the area.

Removed the lettering from the doors and amazing the dirt that gets trapped there.

I have to agree, a tailgate with out emblems and decals looks alot better, I've been meaning to do mine, but just haven't got around to it yet. The thing with mine is they put a chevy bowtie and the word silverado together which doesnt look too bad but yet on the right side of the tailgate they have the 1980's looking "CHEVROLET" badge, almost like it was an afterthought.
