I was given a Delco multi-disc stereo that came out of a Trailblazer - probably an '06. Will it fit, physically, into my '99 Suburban, and will I be able to wire it up?

The kid told me it was Bose too, but I don't see any markings on the radio. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

I'm not sure about the fit and the wiring, but I do know if you do install it it will be locked up and unusable. It will have to be un-locked. This can be done at a GM dealer for about $100. I don't really understand why GM made the radios to do this, I don't think many people are out to steal stock radios. Best of luck!

That will be a No... The radio should be a Dbl din and you should have a din 1/2 Plus the mounting is differant and the wires.. Sorry..

Thanks for the replies. I just blurted the question out - then did some searching. (i know, i know).

I got the vin from the guy I got the radio from, and I was planning on going by the dealer and get the pinout diagram. At this point, all I want to do is get his discs out for him. If I can jump power to the unit, will it eject the discs, or does it still need to be fully connected to the computer to function at all?

I have all the little wrenches and screwdrivers just waiting to tear it apart, too. :)

Thanks,

Sweet. I stopped by the dealer during errands, but they couldn't narrow it down. I'll go back later with the radio and vin with hopes for better luck.
Thanks,
