My bad ass fiancé got me an 05 z71 tahoe with 122k miles for Christmas and it came with 22 inch xd rockstar wheels. Want to do the shocks cause I got it balanced and aligned and it still rides a little rough. Was wondering if i need special shocks because of the non-stock wheel size. Also, I don't know if it has a lift kit or leveling kit, and don't exactly know how to find out. Any help is appreciated!

If the tire diameter is the same as stock, softer shocks may help the ride. Less sidewall always means a rougher ride. Of course, with softer shocks you may hit the bump stops more often.

It should be pretty easy to tell if it has a lift/leveling kit by take a look at your suspension. If you don't know what to look for, find a known stock Tahoe and compare the two.
