Just purchased a used 2000 Suburban LT. We never noticed that the door lock cylinders were punched out...when was the last time you put a key in your door lock when you have a remote?
Anyways...I would really like to put new lock cylinders in there so the car doesn't get broken into. Looking into the keyholes, I can see the white plastic vertical cord-like piece which I'm assuming the lock cylinders would connect to somehow.
Does anyone know what parts I would need and how I would install new lock cylinders?
Also, can a locksmith re-key the cylinders to match the ignition key?
Thanks for the assistance!
FYI: Is this all that I need? http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=1336340
