I was backing off the door stop that bolts on to a backing plate on the jamb to my 86 S-10
when the backing plate fell off and dropped down behind the sheet metal. How can I get that back to
bolt striker in?? Can't drive the cursed truck now....am I screwed??

Try a flexable magnet to retrieve it. Pull it up close enough to grab it with a hook to set your first bolt.
