I have a 2000 silverado LT with the bucket seats, the driver side seat has begain to move back and forth (the whole seat) any one got any suggestions or have the same problem. If I have to I will remove the seat, but so far no loose bolts.
Go to ebay and look for GM seat track parts. There is an aerospace engineer that makes and sells a repair rubber bushing part made from a zodiac boat type rubber that's really tough and has a perfect fit. They are only $12 a pair. They are not the Nylon inserts also being sold so don't buy those. The engineer spells it out why you want the rubber replacement parts.I have a 2000 silverado LT with the bucket seats, the driver side seat has begain to move back and forth (the whole seat) any one got any suggestions or have the same problem. Go to ebay - GM Seat Track repair Parts - get the rubber repair parts and watch his video on YouTube. The repair parts he sells ar $12 a pair and they are a perfect fit. The guy selling them is an aerospace engineer and he explains why you should buy the rubber parts and not the nylon shims also being sold. The guy designed rocket engines for the space shuttle.
Lol, yeah good point SEMiller...makes you wonder an aerospace engineer would be selling bushings for seats instead of still designing rocket engines...hmm. Anyway, I used the nylon bushings 2 1/2 years ago and to this day don't have any play in my seats anymore or any other issues. The guy with the nylon kit is still on eBay and has sold like a 1000 of them with 100% positive feedback, sooo....to me that's hard to argue with. You mean the ones that occasionally exploded?
