The yoke is probably different on the 14 bolt, meaning the standard u-joint that you would buy for your truck will not work.

However, speciality shops make special u_joints with 2 wings to fit your driveshaft and 2 wings to fit the bigger yoke.

When your new rear axle arrives, remove the yoke and measure the OD and count the number of splines on the pinion shaft.
It may be the same or not with the 1500 but when you buy a new yoke, at least you have the dimensions.
