Alright so i own a 03 silverado. As almost everyone should know you have the grille on the top and the bottom seperated with a chrome strip in the center. This center piece is basically just plastic with a chrome coating. While i was using the pressure washer on the grille, trying to get at the stuck on bugs and crap, some water must of gotten in between the chrome and plastic behind it. Ended up blowing apart about 6 inches of the chrome off the plastic. :gasp::grrrrrr::grrrrrr:
Sooooo how should i go about fixing it. I am guessing ill probably just be better off replacing the entire grille shell, as redoing the chrome might cost more then the shell ielf? I can buy one from LMC trucks for $150 but then i would have to get the lower piece repainted and then redo the work off cutting out the grille mesh and install the grille insert that i currently have installed.

Ughhhhhh.......let me know if you have any suggestions

I say paint it yourself! And to give you some motivation, here are some pictures of mine:

Here it was stock:

Here was my first attempt:

And here it is now:

All I used was Rustoleum auto paint with Rustoleum clear coat. Two coats white (or whatever color yours is or whatever color you want, lol) and 3-6 coats clear (I did quite a few). I plan on painting the chrome part of mine later on down the road when it starts to peel.
