I was curious right now I have a v6 in my silverado it has 99000 miles on it I really just wanna swap the engine in it but I want a 5.3L v8 does anyone have any idea on cost? I wouldn't be able to do it myself so I would wanna know labor cost as well. Also would selling the v6 I have now would it be worth anything?

Your motor worht about $500 or so. The 5.3L from a junk yard with related wiring and PCM around 1000-$1500 depending on miles etc. and install at least $1500 depending on the shop since they consider that a "custom" job. so looking at around $3000 or more. my numbers may be a little low since i havent needed to buy a 5.3L in a while.
