Hi. my Sonoma 4X is "searching", that is to say when it has warmed up, and you're coasting, the revs fluctuate up and down a few hundred rpms. You can see it on the tachometer but I don't know whether it's the engine or transmission causing the problem. Someone suggested cleaning the throttle body. To me it seems like there's a vacuum leak somewhere and the fluctuating is the ecm reacting to the leak. Under load/accelerating it stops. Has anyone out there experienced this? Another thought is the tranny needs a new filter and fluid (it has enough fluid at present) or the bands are loose. Any suggestions or help is appreciated. Thanks.
