i have a 2005 Tahoe, my check engine light has been on with the error code for the Evap systems. I replaced both the Evap purge and Vent solenoid and reset the monitors, yet the check engine light keeps coming back on. Any suggestions on other issues that can cause this I would appreciate greatly. I've heard this is a common issue in Tahoes and Yukons

You need to check the whole system, including the gas cap. Most common issues are leaking hoses, cap, cracked fittings and canister.
