Clanton muffler said bring truck to shop when I get a chance. Have been considering which set up to have installed. I had to get on the gas hard to get around some slow moving traffic and man what a pitiful sound

If you're set on having tailpipes, 45s behind the tires is the way to go. I've had axle dumped (personal favorite) 45s behind the tires, and straight out the back. They are all good, but 45s create nice reverberation off of things as you drive. out the back just leaves the sound behind

I run dual to a 2 in 1out magnaflow that exits behind passenger rear tire. Sounds nice but a tad quiet for me.

I agree with Squatchy, 45 or 30 duals behind rears baloney cut to match the truck lines. Sweet 2 in 2 out Thrush Welded , love that sound.

LOL yea you rite Chesters I did make mine, I am sure I could make them. When I saw them that is the thought I had. Here are the ones I made, and what is welded on my truck now. As you can see, I did a buffed finish on mine, and they are stainless

I don't know when get a chance taking truck to muffler shop. Maybe go in early, only took 45 min for my black truck and with people coming in. I like the rolled edge tips if I get a single or 45 deg. duels

This. I used to be fan of the straight, dual to rear pipe but I deleted the tailpipe completely from my truck and dumped it just in front of the rear axle. Very clean look.

just had the magnaflow 44s installed on mine and turned them out behind rear tires with stainless tips and the look and sound fantastic.
it almost has a big block sound now,, nice low rumble and will talk to you under heavy acceleration ,,, but at highway speeds its very quiet

Dual... Out to side definitely. One place in a small City... I got on it from a stop light and was setting off car alarms as went for a few hundred yards. Was awesome.
