Exhaust System for 08 Silverado 4.8

Im trying to upgrade the stock exhaust system on my truck, and i hope yall could give me some input on the best way to do it.

I was thinking about doing glasspacks instead of flomasters(or some other brand) because i like the sound, and they are cheaper. how much would a shop charge to install just the muffler, vs installing a whole system with duals running out the back?
Thanks for the input

It is hard to give a price out because we all live in different areas. I would just type muffler shop in google and start calling different shops. If I had to put a price on just the labor of putting in a new muffler I would say 50-75 bucks.
Welcome to the club. As Alston said price depends on where you live.
fyi i live in jacksonville, Fl.
Iv seen on ebay and other sites where you can buy all the piping and everything for a full exhaust system for a pretty good price, is it worth buying this and then taking it to a shop, or would it be better to just buy everything through the shop and have them fit it? If anybody has ordered any of these full kits, let me know how it went
Glasspacks have an ok sound at first but the thing you have to worry about is that the packing will wear out and you get a ****tier sound out of it later on. My friend got one and he was all excited and now it sound like ****. lol you can get a nice muffler and do some cutting and welding and have it in for what ever the price of the muffler is. that is only if you know how to cut and weld. I thought i could and ending up taking a 25 muffler to a muffler shop and it costed me 175 to put the sucker on.

Yea iv heard other people say the same thing about them, and it makes me think twice about getting glasspacks. But flomasters arent cheap, if i could find a good muffler for cheap i wouldnt mind using it, your sig says you a have a thrush on your 4.8, how do you like it on there?
