Headlamp Automotive lighting Car Vehicle Light
Hey. Was wondering if anyone knew what these bulbs are? I cannot seem to get them to turn on...they may be burnt out, but what are they and which switch position do you need to be in for them to be on? Thanks!

Those lights are DRL , daylight running lights. I never touch my light switch so my lights are set in auto mode. They come on automatically and when the sensor detects that it is dark these turn off and my headlights switch on. Hope this helps. My truck is a 2000 GMC Sierra SLE. I’m sure your truck has the same option.

Only on if it is daylight (and the headlights are off) and the vehicle is in DRIVE

To test mine, I use a glass door, just drive up to it, check the reflection.

They are (at least in mine) only 3157 bulbs and burn out quickly.

I use 4114 bulbs, same base and have longer life

That's the advantage of using a 14 volt bulb instead of a 12 volt. The life of incandescent bulbs is cut in half for every volt higher than the bulb is rated for.

That was fine. That's where it is.

Some have had room enough with pulling the radio and bezel to get it back up.
