The fuse for the aux power outlet located in your center console should be located under your hood in the fuse box. It is labeled "AUX PWR" on the label on the underside of the cover It's on the right side of the diagram just above the centre of the box. Hope this helps
And so it was - #29. Thanks much.
On the Savana van that under-hood fuse box cover, held on by four latches, is a real bear to unlatch, and then a real puzzle to extricate the cover from the maze of hoses, wires and other parts in that area. I have fairly strong finger and hands but couldn't quite get the right position to apply the strength to unlatch the thing - especially in this less-than-warm weather.
Fired up the oxy-acetylene torch and bent an old blade-tip screwdriver into a "J" tool to reach under the latches and unlatch the lid. It worked OK, to the extent that unlatching one at a time is of much use. Guess its better than bare handed and so that tool now lives in the jack compartment with my fuse kit.
Then there is the matter of the little plastic fuse extraction tool (that came in a fuse kit bought at WalMart) that is too wide to pull the fuses from the fuse block due to the raised plastic brackets that surround the fuse kinda like this: [===]. While needle nose pliers or a large hemostat work OK, I wanted a dedicated tool that could be kept with the fuse kit in the van, separate from my tool box, and could also be used to pull fuses from the fuse block under the driver's seat, where pliers and hemos are to "tall".
The fix there was to narrow the plastic fuse puller tool on coarse sand paper (belt sander) until it fits the fuses.
Hope this helps someone having the same problems - I'm glad to have found this forum!
Hope you and yours have a safe and happy New Year!
