Has anyone put a bench seat in the front on a 96 suburban. Mine is a 1500. I am interested in doing this because my finance keeps telling me she wants to sit right next to me when we are in the truck. so I figured i would ask the pro's

YEp you can simply take one out of a 1995-1999 Truck (some tahoes and suburbans came with them as well) and it will bolt right in,

Yep, bolts right in. If I remmember (its been a few years) when we did one for a dealer we change the front cab section of carpet also.
