Can someone point me to where the fuel filter is located on my '96 suburban 5.7? Thanks.

Your fuel filter should be on the passenger side frame rail, on the inside of the frame, about where the B-piller for the front and rear doors are. It's a short 4 inch can that I'd say is about 2 inches in diameter. You're going to want a pair of flared wrenches to do the job. refer to the post on the boards on how to change the fuel filter...

I believe it is located on the driver's side. Be sure that you bleed off the pressure before you remove it. There is a schrader valve on the fuel line near the throttle body. Remove the cap and push in the valve. There will still be some gas that comes out when you remove the filter, but it shouldn't be under pressure if you do this.
