Sorry guys..... I'm new here and have another question about my '99
Z-71 Silverado:
Gas gauge when sitting still goes past empty and low fuel light comes on. It'll do this 5 times or more in a 20 minute drive. Took it by "a mechanic"
and he said it was something attached to the fuel pump and I had to buy a whole new fuel pump just to get this part (can't remember it's name).
Well, I did that and you probably already know.....it didn't fix the problem. THAT was an expensive trial/error!!
I took it by a Chevy dealership (I should have to that to begin with), and they told me it was the fuel pressure regulator and it's under the hood.
I got one at www.gmpartsclub.com online (great price), but have no freakin' clue where it is under the hood. I'm trying to learn to do all this by myself rather than take it to a mechanic every time.
Any help on locating this thing?
Does this sound like ther right "fix"?
Thanks again.....
