Hey all,
Looking to see if anyone else has had a similar problem. I have a 1998 Suburban 1500 LT with a 5.7l 350 engine that I have owned for about 5 months. Truck only has 78,000 miles on it and is in great shape. The truck runs great and has no trouble codes or anything wrong to my knowledge. When cruising at low speeds(20-35 mph) and I stomp on the gas to take off the RPM's will go up to maybe 4000 but the truck doesn't take off. If I slowly eccelerate everything is fine,it only happens when I jump on it. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks

Sounds like the transmission is slipping. Have you had it serviced? Sometimes fresh fluid and filter will help.
