I was trying to put my timing into stage 2 to change my timing chains on my 2016 Chevy Colorado and what was happening was the chain was slipping over the teeth of the phasers as I was turning the engine. Now when I turn the crank it only turns a 1/4 turn each way and feels like it is hitting something. I'm kind of lost on what to do. My thoughts are that one of the valves is hitting one of the cylinders, do to the chain slipping on the phaser motors. Not really sure how to fix this problem, do I take the timing chains off and then turn each cam to realign them so they are back in sync with each other an the put the crank back into stage 2 timing??????? Any guidance with be greatly appreciated.
