1. I hear a whinning noise and it sounds like it is coming from behind me and i am not sure of where its coming from any ideas on where to start looking?

2. When i am driving i here a ticking noise coming from the engine compartment and i am just wondering what it might be?

3. Every once and when i am turning i hear a popping noise coming from the front end and once again just wondering if you got any ideas on what it might be or where i can start looking

The whining noise could be the rear end, or it could be a bearing.

Ticking noise could be bad lifter. Does ticking increase with RPMs?

Does popping noise happen when turning in one direction only, or both? Does it happen during light turning or hard turns?

I hope the whinning is not the rear end i have had one lock up on me in the middle of a corner in a 92 chevy C1500 as soon as it locked up it turned into one wild ride.

The ticking noise seems to get louder and fast when i start driving and after listening a little closer to it and i think it might be an exhaust leak.

It has done it more when i am sitting still and it seems to do it more when i am trying to turn get out of a tight parking spot or something like that.

I have only had the truck for two months now and it seems like the more i drive the more that small problems start to show but i would rather replace a couple of u joints and some small minor parts than an engine the work part of it would be fun but the money would be the pain in the ass lol.

1. You could inspect rear end grears and seal/bearings...maybe gear oil is low??

2. Now I'm leaning more towards a manifold leak...gaskets/cracks

3. Front end inspect is a good start (I usually use a front end/alignment specialist for inspect)

I know I talked to you before but inspecting and doing the safety stuff first just to see whats up(if your kinda broke) :he: Then consider what can wait for a bit. Safety first!
Did you safety truck with your own mechanic or did you buy safetyed?

the place that i bought it from makes sure that everything is in good working condition and i am a mechanic in the army but working on a chevy is alot different from military equipment. I also done the same basic inspection like we do on the military trucks and i did not find anything that really jumped out like busted ball joints or anything like that like i said these problems are just starting to show the more i drive the truck so hopfully it wont take to much to get these problems fixed and make the truck have a long life.
