I'm re-doing the interior of an 88' Sierra. I wanted to put a grab handle over the passenger side door and I needed to know if it should be reinforced or can I just drill some holes and go?? Stephanie

I know in the '90's and up trucks the factory put grab bars mounts in all the trucks even though all the trucks didn't come with grab bars. I'm not sure about the '88's. When you get the interior out look for welded-in mounts in the roof and the windshield beam.

I looked and there aren't any holes for a handle.

Of course not, that would be to easy. Sorry I never did any grab bars on a '88 year.
