Grille Upgrade... [Expired Topic]

I am thinking of taking the grille out of my '93 and updating it with the grille from a 95-2000 grille. I am told you have to replace the headlights as well... Anyone done this mod, and if so, do you really need to replace anything else?

My suburban is also a 93 with a 95 grille, I don’t think you have to replace the headlights but I’m not sure because the grille was on the car when I bought it.
Take a look in the picture gallery maybe you can see if the headlights are the same.

I looked at aftermarket lights and its says 88-98 with composite lights they changed to a rounded style in 99.

88-98 is for the pickups. The Suburban years are 92-99.
Right. I am convinced that the composite headlights are the same. I am curious about the turn signals and side markers... I have a buddy with a '98. I will see if I can sit them side by side and check it out next time I am there.

I would love to do this upgrade... Of course, if I put on a brush guard, you won't be able to see the grille anyway, so that may be a better way to go.

I am still interested tho. I know that for 600 bux, there is Cadillac conversion kit, but I am not interested in that.

I have also considered doing a swap to the GMC grille since it is a better looking grille, but the burban has chevy bowties all over it.

The turn signals are the easiest to change out

If you check out ebay there are some packages you can get with headlights bumper lights and corner lights for about $100 + shipping

The euro clear headlights are cool and there is even some projector sets, I like the diamond cut ones myself
