many remove the heater hoses on the heater core fire wall...then the hose fittings crack and leak ..I remove the heater hoses on the engine block .. then use the 5 gallon bucket and then use a water hose spray gun to flush out both directions . now when you did this flush on the heater core probably 12 months later the heater core will drop the higher temps.engine block has particles then the heater core is a filter .
my heater air temp is 140-145 F in 30 deg f outside air ..my 2000 silverado has air filters and I keep them clean every year or change them ..
