Hi guys. I posted a thread in another forum a week ago or so asking about a 1.7:1 to 1.8:1 rocker arm swap in a 5.3 Silverado. I got some suggestions on how to make more power but nobody really said if it was a good idea or if they had ever done it, so I thought I'd try again! I've read articles about this and was just wondering if the difference is enough to spend the $350. I am just looking for some extra UMPH for towing. I'm in the process of upgrading the exhaust and air intake, so those areas will be covered. I'd like to get away with not having to use a programer if I can help it. As far as I can tell all the gains from a programer are at WOT, and we all know that is no good for us guys that tow heavy loads unless you plan on running in 2nd gear on the interstate! :lol:The fact is, I'm running on a low budget, otherwise I would own a duramax baby!:glasses:
