I just purchased a 2000 ext LT Z71, love the truck but the seats dont seem to heat up like my wife's 2002 Tahoe. Any ideas?

i have a truck similiar to yours only 2 wheel drive it takes the heated seats about 5 to 10 minutes on mine to get nice and toasty
Don't need heated seats in Texas. Need chilled seats!!!

Wish I had some insight as well - my butt was cold all winter with nonfunctioning heated seats!
The heating element burns out in the seat usually and its wired to the back, so neither one of them work. There`s a relay under each seat but I`m told by the dealer that it doesn`t go bad that often. A 98 burb seat heaters can be purchased but its a packaged deal with the leather covers also but it`s kinda pricey. Newer models, and I`m not sure what year, you can purchase just the heating element from old man GM. Aftermarket heaters can be found at Mactops.com, I think they will work with a little work splicing in the harness.
