Hello new here...I just bought a 2014 Sierra and I went from a 2015 ram 1500. The truck only has 15k miles and seems to run good. The issue is to me the truck makes a weird ticking sound at idle but not loud enough for a lifter issue. Also when accelerating it seems to be louder, more when it's warmer engine. Are there any other things to look out for? I'm hoping it's just the way the 5.3eco is and all is normal. Thank you in advance for your help!

It could be the injectors, they make a clicking sound. Actually its a popping sound.

Use top tier fuel and they should calm down.

If you start to get a check engine light (yeah, I know, old name) for a mis-fire, go back to the dealer. They have a service bulletin for cleaning them using nitrogen.

Ok thanks I'll keep that in mind! Any idea if synthetic oil is a good idea? I used it on my vehicles in the past and my diesel

I think you'll find synthetic is what the owners manual calls for
