So I just bought an 82 GMC Sierra that use to have the 6.2l Diesel engine but it’s Been converted into a gasser previous owner says it’s a 350 but I want to make sure before I buy parts to rebuild it can someone help me decide this motor!?

Looks like its a 350, the casting number was used from approx. 1969 to 1980. Using the engine ID code number info it's a 1971 350. (Suffix code is the CJD at the end of the ID code which denotes this).
The V means it was made in Flint Michigan, the rest of the numbers seem to denote it was made on Jan, 18th of that year. V0118CJD= V-Flint, 01-Month(Jan), 18-Day of month, CJD-1971 350
