Im trying to remove the A/C condenser on my husband's 76 Jimmy. There are 4 bolts with 3/8 heads holding it in from the front . I turn them and they just keep spinning without backing out. I can touch the back of the two top ones and can't feel any nuts holding them on. So what's the deal? Is there a trick to getting those 4 bolts out?
Thanks.
This is something I would have to place my eyes and hands on to understand what the problem is. Can you put some vise grips on the head and twist/turn at the same time as pulling?
I could, but i was pulling on the condenser while I was turning the bolts to put tension on them but it didnt help.
I have arrows pointing in the general direction of the bolts. I wasnt able to get them in the picture. The heads of the bolts face out and are easily accessable.
Yeah, not sure about that. I would think I would be able to feel that with my finger if that was the case. I can feel the end of the bolt turning, but whatever it's turning inside of is NOT turning. I don't feel ANY kind of nut on the back. It goes through some kind of round rubber piece but there has to be more than that holding it in .
