Was coming home form tractor supply this evening when my wife's 2002 1500HD Crewcab started to hesitate and lost power....I pulled over and it almost stalled but then caught itself......I was going about 50MPH when it happened and no matter how much I played with the throttle it still dropped to about 35 MPH. NO check engine light....I am thinking maybe a bad cat? After I pulled over and let it idle for a few moments the problem went away.....

No mods, regular oil/fliter changes...had the transfer case rebuilt 2 years ago.....any advise or insight is greatly appreciated, thankyou in advance

Welcome to the club. Is the truck gas or diesel? If its a bad cat it should throw a code.

I doubt it's a bad cat cuz when they plug, they usually stay plugged. I would check your fuel pressure. Could be a fuel filter that's real close to being totally clogged, or intermittant low fuel pump pressure. You can borrow a FP guage from AutoZone & various other parts suppliers.
