I already introduced myself before but i will again. I am an adult film actress and producer here in Northern California. I need some help with my truck. I have a 93' chevy silverado k2500 and it's a 5.7L engine. I ran out of gas and when I put more gas in and tried to start it, it would turn over but not start. So I tried putting gas in the carb and it turned over and started but didn't stay idle for long before it shut off. I replaced the filter, cleaned the injectors, replaced a kinked fuel line, dropped the tank and tested the pump. The pump is working fine. I don't understand what else could be wrong. Help!

Does it turn over?
Welcome to the G M T C !
Welcome to the club!
Welcome to the club Lorna. Since you've checked or repaired most everything in the fuel system & it still won't start, maybe you didn't run out of fuel when you thought you did. Maybe you lost the fire. I would check it for spark first.
Yes it does

Does it turn over?

Yes it does turn over but the gas isn't getting to the carb and when it does start, it merely drips. So now I got a new fuel pump and I am going to try that and see what happens.

Fuel Filter?
Welcome again and good luck solving your problem!
********thread moved here**********

I would take a close look at the fuel pump relay, or else take a look at the ingnition module since that is what sends power to the pump assemble.
It ended up being the fuel pump after all. Thanks guys!
HI Lorna..Welcome to the club and hope everything is doing good with your ride...:)
