HID problem

I'm hoping someone can help without me having to go to some shop. I installed hids from ddm tuning back in March then in June my Hi's stopped coming on all together. I have kind of been putting that off since I don't use them very often. But now my left Lo flickers for a second then blows the fuse in the wiring harness. I am not much of an electrician but I'm guessing there could be a short somewhere. The thing is I have no idea where to start and I'm not sure thats the reason. Has anyone had any issues like this or know what might be happening?
