Hey all, just joined the club, surfing the web and decided to see if there were any Siverado Clubs out there and this is the first one i came across.:great: I have a 2000 Silverado (pictures to come) 1500 Ext Cab 4x4, i bought it in April with just over 107,000 miles on it. Not know what was done mechanically I've slowly been changing "time sensitive" parts, ie, plugs, PCV valve, EGR valve, and I've yet to change the wires. My dilema is after it warms up, it idles around 1100 rpms and just aches for me to let off the brake, don't get me wrong the truck runs like a raped ape:great:, but how do I get it to settle down when I put it in park? (other than turning it off)
Thanks for the Info, the last time I had the tranny changed (July) they scanned it and nothing other than what was wrong with the tranny (extreme slippage), as far as I can tell there are no leaks but I'll give another look over.:great:
That pretty much sum it up!! Since it seem like something new, double check:
Your EGR gasket
Coolant temp sensor wires
And you might want to clean out your throttle body and Idle control valve
