I need some help. The other day while driving I tried honking my horn at someone who was on their way in to my lane. And no horn, talk about timing. I checked the fuse and it was good.
Any input would be great. I don’t really want to take it to the dealer just yet
When I went in for and oil change at the dealer I had asked about the possibility of what it could be and they said the fuse
I guess there is two horns that combine to make the horn sound, the horn tied to the alarm system works when hitting the key fob
It’s a 2005 2wd Silverado 1500 ext 5.3

If the alarm can sound the horn then it sounds like the horn circuit is good as far as the horns and the relay, sounds like your trouble is in the steering wheel area, poor contacts or bad wiring.
