Hot floors

Hey guys. I work for a produce delivery company and we have a fleet of Chevy cargo vans. We have a problem with the floors getting too hot in the back (mostly in the summer) and heating up our food before we can deliver it. Does anyone have an idea of a cheap yet effective solution? We've tried laying cardboard down but that doesn't seem to help much. Any help would be greatly appriciated. thanks!

I would insulate under the floor, or heat shield the exhaust, because anything you put on the floors inside is going to get walked on, piled on, & get crushed down to where it's insulation properties will be gone. If you do go with the inside program, then maybe something similar to pallets that are strong & so there is an air space between the floor & the food.
